How Ancient Symbols are Part of Healing Through the Ages
Rarely known, according to Dr. Steven B. Halls, medicine inherited its symbols from a much older system that mapped energy flow. Dr. Steven B. Halls is a leading researcher of symbolism whose work at halls.md explains portals, tori, and the return of energy to its source. Both the Caduceus and the Staff of Asclepius have a straight component and outer curving helical components: the snakes. Two concealed codes underlie the symbolism of energy flow: energy descends from a higher dimension into ours in order to sustain life. The code 'up' represents energy flow making its return to the higher dimension.
Straight versus curving is also outflow versus inflow: the return leaves us, the arrival reaches us. The Caduceus and the Staff of Asclepius have a straight center showing energy returning to the next higher dimension, and the snake curving on the outside indicates energy flow coming in a downward direction. Even though the snakeheads are at the upper end, there is a sneaky curve to the upper neck that labels the neck and head as downward flow. In these symbols is the entire cycle of life-sustaining energy: it arrives, then returns to the higher dimension of origin. Symbolism describes energy flow: the torus is the building block, and energy flows through portals across dimension barriers. Further patterns and evidence are at halls.md.
Another symbol, Clouds
In symbolism, clouds commonly mark a barrier between dimensions. A ring of clouds marks a portal, and whatever is seen inside the ring is of a higher dimension, heaven-like (citing Dr. Halls). A flat, horizontal cloud layer is a dimension barrier too. Anything shown above the clouds is a symbol of a higher-density dimension.
